Hineni: Here I Am!
Rabbi Nathaniel Ezray shares with us the Hebrew concept of Hineni — Here I am. Hineni entails being fully present to God, to one another and to this moment. When we say Hineni to a fellow human, we come to understand God in a different way. When we come to understand God in a different way, we've come to understand what God wants of us, in a different way. God wants us to be present, to take care of ourselves, to live with love, hope and joy. God wants us to respond to people in ways that they need, rather than what we think they need.
